No two weddings are alike at Houmas House Plantation and Gardens and we welcome the opportunity to help you create a wedding celebration that will be uniquely yours.
Our beautiful Mansion sits amongst 12 acres of beautifully manicured lawns, lush gardens, ponds, fountains and statuary. Many brides choose to be wed under the Cathedral of Oaks, exchanging vows on the front steps of the Mansion. However, you may choose among any of the many garden areas to create the perfect setting for your wedding.
Outdoor Cocktail Receptions can be held in either the Hampton Court Fountain area or our Neptune Courtyard, each of which boasts a magnificent water feature. Both locations can comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests, with a band and dance area.
Our beautiful Pavilion, which overlooks a garden area and the Hampton Court Fountain, is fully air conditioned and heated and allows for seated dinners for up to 350 guests, with band and dance floor, or up to 600 guests for a cocktail style reception, with buffet, band and dance floor areas.
Our Neptune Courtyard and Ballroom offers the ultimate in indoor and outdoor entertaining for more intimate groups. The Courtyard, with its beautiful reflecting pond and surrounding gardens, allows a natural flow of activity for guests. The Ballroom will accommodate up to 165 guests for a cocktail buffet reception, with space for a band and dance floor. When the weather is beautiful, the Ballroom and Courtyard can easily accommodate up to 250 guests within its walled gardens.
Our award winning Latil's Landing Restaurant, located on the grounds, caters all events at Houmas House. Chef Jeremy Langlois and his talented staff provide just the right food and service to make every event very special. Latil's Landing was recently hailed by Esquire Magazine as One of the "Top 20 Best New Restaurants in America." Latil's is the first Louisiana restaurant to be selected for this prestigious award.
Houmas House offers a splendid variety of hors d'oeuvres and menu items for Wedding Buffets and Dinners. We do not provide Wedding Cake, Photography, Officiate, Entertainment or Flowers. We do, however, work with many approved suppliers who excel in providing these services, a list of which we are happy to provide.
