Relaxed. Natural. Black and White or Brilliant Colors. These are the traits I want my images to convey to the viewer.

I love photographing the expressions you recognize and cherish about your loved ones...a shy grin, a big smile or a laugh...the way YOU see them when you picture them in your mind. I don't think photography is all about the backgrounds and perfect poses, it's about capturing your loved ones the way you remember them at that moment in time. I focus on all the details like tiny toes, long eyelashes, bright eyes, and special smiles in children. Beautiful gowns and flower details, the loving look between two people when they think no one is watching, a father's eyes about to burst in to tears while giving away his babygirl. These are the special details that we long to hold on to, long after our wedding day is over and our children are grown...and this is what I want to capture for you.

Motto/Mantra: I LOVE photography!! Photography isn't just something I do as a job; it is my true passion. The ability to create beautiful, artistic, and timeless portraits is my goal! I will work tirelessly so that each portrait I take reflects your story and your relationships. The image must become more than just a "picture". It has to tell a piece of your personal life story. As a result, the images become timeless pieces of art. Thus, the goal is to make sure you will be able to look back at these images and able to feel exactly the way you did the moment they were captured.

There is nothing better than knowing I got it...that special moment or look that split second where the emotion and beauty shines through...it is a constant hunt during a session or wedding, but it is the best feeling. I know I've capture that moment in time before I've even see the proof. That's why I know I'll be a photographer forever. It's part of who I am, and I love it.

Other little details you might want to know...

I'm married to a very supportive husband (he puts up with my crazy schedule and gives me his true, no sugar coating here, opinion of my work). I grew up on a farm in Mars, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Muskingum College in Ohio. I am one of five children, so I know how to play nice and be polite.

I now call New Orleans my home...I'm a big fan of humidity. I have one child, OK...she is a dog, but she thinks she is human and I love her to death. She is pictured here with my husband.

I love running, being active, listening to all types of music and reading great works of fiction (be it in a book, blog, or magazine...whatever the medium as long as it makes me think or entertains me)! My favorite foods are frozen yogurt and/or cereal!

I am a member of the Professional Photographer's Association, and I strive daily to recreate my work in order to make sure that no two images are ever the same. It is a privilege to participate in your life's little and BIG moments. THANK YOU for letting me capture them with my camera!
